Choral music for Trinity

The Feast of the Trinity - “Trinity Sunday” is celebrated by the church on the Sunday after Whitsun. After the Feast of the Trinity, according to the Protestant lectionary, a “period without feasts” begins. The Sundays after this are counted as the “Sundays after Trinity”; settings for these Sundays can be found here. The Feast of the Trinity itself celebrates the dogma of the Trinity; the consubstantiality of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It was introduced in 1334 by Pope John XXII. It now has a special meaning for the Protestant church: the creed is celebrated on this Sunday, also in special singing.
