In Aber heidschi bumbeidschi, Buchenberg shows himself to be an accomplished arranger. He succeeds in maintaining the folk song character of the piece, whilst making audible the profundity which shimmers unsettlingly between the text lines of the (supposedly innocent) lullaby.
