Mass in c minor K. 427

A few months ago we published a new reconstruction of Mozart's Mass in c minor K. 427 created by editors Frieder Bernius and Uwe Wolf.
carus plus: Now this work is also available in versions for Carus Choir Coach and in carus music, the choir app. With Mozart's Mass in c minor K. 427 the coach offers not only the notes, but also the sung part. The coach is based on individual recorded parts sung by the Kammerchor Stuttgart, making practising even more enjoyable!

When Carus-Verlag asked Daniel Ivo de Oliveira to realize the basso continuo part of Mozart's Mass in c minor K. 427, as completed and edited by Frieder Bernius and Uwe Wolf, he was brought into contact with a style of music that was new to him. After listening to the piece several times he was fascinated once again by Mozart's exquisite music...

BACH VOCAL

New cantatas

Two cantatas are newly released this month: Christum wir sollen loben schon (Christ Jesus praise we ev'ryone) BWV 121 for the 2nd day of Christmas and Ärgre dich, o Seele, nicht (Fret thee not, thou mortal soul) BWV 186 for the 7th Sunday after Trinity. Cantata BWV 186 is a considerably expanded reworking of a Weimar Advent cantata of 1716 (Carus 31.186). Another new release is the Insert movements for the Magnificat from BWV 243a , now available in a newly-revised full score.

In this year's anniversary of the Reformation we will be presenting the complete edition of Bach's sacred vocal works with the Bach vocal project.

CONTEMPORARY CHORAL MUSIC

Choral works by Damijan Mocnik

Damijan Mo?nik is among the most performed contemporary Slovenian composers abroad. His music is performed worldwide by professional and top amateur choirs.

We are publishing three new unaccompanied works by Mocnik this month: ... et lux perpetua, Acclamatio and Hymnus tertiae horae. Last month we released the CD et LUX perpetua with five of the composer's sacred works for various scorings.

MonteverdiREGER: COMPLETE EDITION

NEW: First volume in the Songs and Choral Works Series

The first volume in the Songs and Choral Works Series contains, in chronological order, the songs Max Reger composed between 1889 and spring 1899 in Weiden and Wiesbaden. The youthful songs WoO VII/1-13, composed by Reger, but without the aim of publication, are published in the Appendix.


Since January 2008, the first scholarly, critical edition of the works of Max Reger (RWA) is being produced at the Max-Reger-Institute, Karlsruhe. Its design as a "hybrid" edition breaks new ground in the methods of editorial practice.

As well as the Mozart Mass in c minor K. 427 mentioned above, Handel's Israel in Egypt (Parts I-III), and Homilus's Christmas oratorio Die Freuden der Hirten über die Geburt Jesu are newly.

As well as Mozart's Mass in c minor K. 427, this month also sees the release of J. S. Bach's Christmas Oratorio cantatas I-VI in the practice CD series Carus Choir Coach.

The Carus Choir Coach offers choir singers the unique opportunity to study and learn their own, individual choral parts within the context of the sound of of the entire choir and orchestra.
