French Choral Music

The new French Choral Collection is a real treasure trove for choirs to explore music from France. The collection contains 45 sacred compositions for mostly four-part mixed choir, all of which were composed in France. In addition to well-known works by Marc-Antoine Charpentier, Gabriel Fauré, and Camille Saint-Saëns, the collection includes first editions of previously largely unknown works by composers such as Adolphe Adam and Charles-Marie Widor. Separate editions are also available. More

Choral Collection Beethoven

Film with the editor Jan Schumacher

For the major Beethoven anniversary in 2020 Carus has a very special highlight in store: the Beethoven Choral Collection for mixed voice choir. A new film with the editor Jan Schumacher gives a first insight into this unique collection. Besides almost completely unknown unaccompanied works, you will also find piano versions from the choral-symphonic repertoire in the anthology. There are particularly attractive arrangements of Beethoven’s (mainly instrumental) music from three centuries. The Choral Collection can be pre-ordered straight away at an attractive subscription price. More

Sensational first editions

A truly exciting find: organ music by Giacomo Puccini – almost completely forgotten until recently. Only in the recent past have around 60 manuscripts of organ compositions by Puccini been rediscovered, most recently at Torre del Lago, Puccini’s home. Now these spectacular discoveries are available to the public in scholarly editions! The volume of works for organ in the Puccini ‘Edizione Nazionale’ has just been published by Carus, and will be presented to the public by the editors on Sunday in the Teatro Municipale Valli in Reggio Emilia, Italy.
