Aus: Die Feen, 3. Akt, 1. Szene. Die Fee Ada hat nach dem Verstoß Prinz Arindals aus dem Feenreich den Beschluss gefasst, ihren geliebten Mann zu suchen. Dafür gibt sie sogar ihre Unsterblichkeit preis. Bald findet sie Arindal und unterzieht ihn einer Prüfung, die dieser jedoch nicht besteht. Ada wird daraufhin unter Blitz und Donner für hundert Jahre in Stein verwandelt. Unterdessen hat Morald über die Feinde gesiegt und wird statt des rechtmäßigen Thronerbes Arinald nun König von Tramond. Nur schweren Herzens nimmt Morald die Würde an, da er sieht, dass Arinald dem Wahnsinn verfallen ist. In einem großen Ensemble zu Beginn des 3. Aktes beten alle für die Genesung Arinalds.
