Elena Biscuola completed her vocal studies in Turin with distinction, and has attended master classes with Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau and Irwin Gage. She has been a prize-winner at several international singing competitions, including in Vercelli and Conegliano, and in 1999 won the Luca Marenzio Competition with the Vox Altera Ensemble. In Vicenza she completed a postgraduate course in early music, and is much in demand at leading European early music festivals. She works with conductors including Rudolf Buchbinder, Tiziano Severini, Michael Radulescu and Ton Koopman, and performs with many leading ensembles. Her CD recordings, on several leading labels, focus mainly on neglected repertoire.
