Georg Poplutz is renowned f or interpreting lied and oratorio sentimentally and expressively. He performs at notable festivals and leading concert halls and cathedrals all over Germany and Europe with conductors including Hermann Max, Sir Roger Norrington, Ralf Otto, Hans-Christoph Rademann, Ludger Rémy, Michael Schneider, Masaaki Suzuki, Winfried Toll, and Roland Wilson. Furthermore, he sings within “Johann Rosenmüller Ensemble” and Arno Paduch as well as with Konrad Junghänel’s “Cantus Cölln”. Song recitals with his piano partner Hilko Dumno and radio-, DVD- and more than 40 CD-recordings complete his musical activities. Born in Arnsberg, Georg Poplutz graduated in English and Music Education. Afterwards, he started studying voice with Berthold Possemeyer in Frankfurt / Main and furthered his studies with Christoph Prégardien in Cologne, and in 2007, he finished with the concert exam. Since 2010, he works with Carol-Meyer Bruetting.
