Carus-Verlag is a leading publisher of sacred and secular choral music. In our online shop, you will find sheet music for approximately 45,000 works, mainly vocal works, in both printed and digital form, as well as audio productions, music books, practice aids, and apps for choir singers and choir directors.

The legal requirements for accessibility are derived from the Accessibility Enhancement Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz), in particular §14 in conjunction with §3 (1) of the Act.

This act is based on the directive of the European Union, the so-called European Accessibility Act (EAA), which has been transposed into German law.

Carus-Verlag GmbH & Co. KG designs its websites in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and the European Standard EN 301 549 to make them accessible to all users. For better readability, color contrasts have been increased, and images and links have been provided with alternative texts. The page structure has been optimized and keyboard navigation is also possible.

Our shop works well with the free screen reader NVDA (https://www.nvaccess.org/). Other screen readers currently function to a limited extent.

Through regular reviews and adjustments we check that our websites comply with German legal requirements and that accessibility and security are ensured for all users.
