All works by Dvorák
Dvorák wrote several lyrical and moving works of sacred music, of which the poignant Stabat Mater is probably one of the best known. In addition to the original version a version for reduced scoring is also available from Carus which will enable many choirs to perform this popular work. His cheerful Mass in D has a special charm through its folksong-like elements. And his secular choral songs also reveal the influence of folk music, full of a closeness to nature.
