2. Advertising materials: catalogs, brochures, display aids

Would you like to advertise and sell Carus products in your shop or online shop?

We have a wide range of print and online materials available on different topics for our retail partners, and we can support your presentation of our products with flyers, posters, banners, web banners, and much more besides. We can also provide you with texts from our CARUS blog for your customers’ information and for digital use. Please contact our sales department at: sales@carus-verlag.com.


3. New Issues service

Keep up to date by signing up to our convenient New Issues Service.

Every month you’ll automatically receive new issues with free delivery.

Stock orders for all new releases are sold on a terms and conditions basis. Payment is due within 90 days and all orders come with a 12-month return policy.

4. Ordering and despatch

Orders can be placed in various different ways.

All contact details and options can be found on our company website.

If an e-mail address is provided when placing an order, the customer will receive a despatch notification and in most cases a tracking number (depending on method of despatch).


5. Prices and minimum order quantities

The IDNV (www.idnv.net) provides specialist music retailers with a centralized and authorative reference database for fixed retail prices submitted by the publisher.

Carus-Verlag has accepted the IDNV as a reference database and stipulates with the reference price declaration that it will regularly and fully report its prices for sheet music published products, its recalls, and its retail price changes to the IDNV in accordance with the German law on retail price maintenance for books. As a publisher we thus fulfil our obligation to publish set prices and alterations to retail book prices in the future by reporting the fixed retail price to the IDNV.

In the price reference database, minimum order quantities, if any, are also published, which must be complied with both by the publisher and the retailer.

When extra copies are required in quantities below the minimum order quantity to supplement a previously-fulfilled order, the retail partner can order these extra copies. Additional orders are basically supplied at the price of the lowest order quantity, unless the repeat order itself reaches the number of the next larger quantity.

7. Conditions for purchase

The conditions for the purchase of goods from the publisher should be clarified with the Carus-Verlag sales team before placing the first order (sales@carus-verlag.com).

In principle, new customers who wish to purchase our products for resale receive a basic discount on purchases from us. When a new customer proves to be a long-term reliable partner for us, or generates increasing annual sales, s/he may be eligible for more favorable purchase conditions. In addition, travel and stock orders are possible after consultation with the publisher, which can be obtained with improved conditions due to their order volume. Placing this type of order cannot currently be made via the IDNV, but should be made by e-mail.


8. Payment and delivery

Invoices are payable net within 14 days; cash discount is excluded. Special agreements can be made with the publisher's sales team, especially for travel and stock orders.

We accept various payment methods, including direct debit, invoice, credit card, and credit card collection.


Despatch is from our warehouse in Leinfelden-Echterdingen (Baden-Württemberg, Germany).

The shipping costs are to be paid by the ordering party.

A delivery of the goods to a delivery address different from the billing address (in the case of a one-time direct shipment) is possible. For this type of shipment, our delivery charges a fee of 3.00 EUR per shipment, which will be charged to the invoice recipient. If the delivery address remains the same and is permanently different, the fee is waived.

DHL is our standard shipping partner. UPS and TNT are also available as shippers.

In the rare case of visible damage to packages, we ask you to document and report it to us.


9. Returns

Goods may be returned up to six months from the invoice date. Returns up to an annual credit amount of 5% of the previous year's purchases do not need to be notified to the publisher. A completed returns form should be included with the returned goods.

In principle, only goods in perfect condition which can be re-sold will be accepted and credited without deduction.

10. Sale of digital products

Retail partners can sell digital products from Carus-Verlag to their customers via IDNV. A one-off free set-up is required for this. Our sales team is available to help with questions about the procedure and the conditions (sales@carus-verlag.com).
