Isabel Schicketanz

Personal details

As a sought-after soloist, Isabel Schicketanz (née Jantschek) regularly collaborates with the Dresdner Barockorchester, the Barockorchester Breslau, the Collegium 1704 Prague, the Gaechinger Cantorey, the Lautten Compagney Berlin, the Batzdorfer Hofkapelle, the Nederlandse Bachvereniging Utrecht, the Cappella Sagittariana and “Wunderkammer” Berlin. She studied in Dresden with Hendrikje Wangemann and Olaf Bär. During her studies, Ludger Rémy, Dorothee Mields and Britta Schwarz already inspired her to study vocal concert music of the 16th–18th century, to which she devoted herself from then on. Isabel Schicketanz has toured Europe, Asia and the USA with the Calmus Ensemble. She is grateful for many years of collaboration with Hans-Christoph Rademann, under whose direction the complete recording of Heinrich Schütz was realized, and also for \"Opella Musica\", with whom a complete recording of Kuhnau’s cantatas is being prepared.
