FThe former Regensburger Domspatz Franz Vitzthum received his vocal studies with Kai Wessel in Cologne. He regularly appears as a guest at international festivals and has worked together with such conductors as Nicolas McGegan, Hermann Max, Marcus Creed and Philippe Herreweghe. As a much sought-after chamber musician, he performs concerts together with the lutenist Julian Behr, the Capricornus Consort Basel and his vocal ensemble Stimmwerck. Personal details

[...] Einmal mehr belegen die vier Damen von Flautando Köln – Katharina Hess, Susanne Hochscheid, Ursula Thelen und Kerstin de Witt – ihre unnachahmliche Art, mit den diversen Stimmungen und Kontrasten innerhalb eines Stücks zu spielen und diese mit kerniger Intonation und flexibler Dynamik zu konturieren. Da wird nicht einfach blass ins Holz geblasen; dass Blockflötenspiel auch viel mit Nuancenreichtum in der Tonentwicklung und farbiger Agogik zu tun haben kann, stellt das Ensemble unter Beweis. [...] Eine musikalisch prachtvoll duftende Tudor-Rose, die hier herrlich ausdifferenzierte Blüten treibt.
