Ye sacred Muses. Music from the House of Tudor

Read and write feedback
King Henry the Eighth was one of the most colorful personalities among the rulers of his time. The 500th anniversary of his coronation will be observed this year. As an expressly, artistically inclined monarch he supported music at his court and cultivated ties with musicians on the European mainland. Flautando Köln and the countertenor Franz Vizthum present music from the fascinating time of Henry the Eighth and Elizabeth the First.

Reviews

[...] Köstlich das turbulente Stierhatz-Lied „Of all jolly Pastimes“ eines Anonymus, turbulent auch „The Hunt's up“ von Byrd [...]

Reinhard Kriechbaum
Concerto, 228/09
