Settings of Our Father
While in the Catholic service it is usually either spoken or sung to a Gregorian melody as a congregational prayer, the Protestant church knows several native-language songs of the Lord's Prayer. In the Anglican tradition, an elaborate setting of the Lord's Prayer is often found in the polyphonic "Preces and Responses" sung by the choir.
