his will is just forever.
What he decides is my delight,
I will obey his scepter.
My God indeed, who helps in need
knows most well to preserve me;
the reign I give him gladly.His word of truth most firmly stands
and never is betraying,
it helps his faithful not to fall nor perish when life ends.
Yes, since his word does lead to life eternal,
my heart takes courage now,
does rest in his good caring.
The Father’s faithfulness and grace
restores my faith,
when troubles seem most fatal.
God can with power everlasting
my fate be turning....

es bleibt gerecht sein Wille;
wie er fängt meine Sachen an,
will ich ihm halten stille.
Er ist mein Gott,
der in der Not
mich wohl weiß zu erhalten;
drum lass ich ihn nur walten.Sein Wort der Wahrheit stehet fest
und wird mich nicht betrügen,
weil es die Gläubigen nicht fallen noch verderben lässt.
Ja, weil es mich den Weg zum Leben führet,
so fasst mein Herze sich und lässet sich begnügen
an Gottes Vatertreu und Huld
und hat Geduld,
wenn mich ein Unfall rühret.
Gott kann mit seinen Allmachtshänden
mein Unglück wenden....

| 1922-2016Paul Horn war ein deutscher Kirchenmusiker, Organist, Komponist und Musikwissenschaftler. Er studierte Kirchenmusik und Orgel an der Evangelischen Kirchenmusikschule Esslingen am Neckar bei Hans-Arnold Metzger und Musikwissenschaft, Theologie und Geschichte an der Universität Tübingen. Seine berufliche Laufbahn begann als Kantor an der Evangelischen Michaelskirche in Stuttgart-Degerloch. 1954 wurde er Kantor an der Evangelischen Stadtkirche Ravensburg, eine Position, die er bis zu seiner Pensionierung innehatte. Als Musikwissenschaftler arbeitete Horn bis ins hohe Alter eng mit Carus zusammen. So stammen zahlreiche Carus-Klavierauszüge aus seiner Feder. Personal details
