Paul Horn studied church music and musicology, obtaining a doctorate. From 1954 to 1986 he was organist and music director in Ravensburg, and was subsequently appointed Kirchenmusikdirektor. He taught at the Musikhochschule Trossingen. Paul Horn’s work has had a significant influence on Carus. In particular, his vocal scores should be mentioned, which are in great demand amongst choral directors for their skill and excellent playability. His basso continuo realizations and organ arrangements of oratorios, Masses and cantatas, too, are performed all over the world. Paul Horn’s compositions for choir and organ were created during his long career as an organist and choral director.
