Carl Reinecke
| 1824-1910Carl Reinecke, born 1824 in Altona, died 1910 in Leipzig. First musical training with his father, music director in Barmen in 1854, director of the Singakademie in Breslau in 1859, conductor of the Gewandhaus concerts in 1860 and teacher at the conservatory in Leipzig. Reinecke was influenced by F. Mendelssohn Bartholdy and R. Schumann; his more than 100 children's songs were very popular. Personal details
