12 opera choruses for choir and piano.
In addition to the well known and much beloved choruses from Nabucco, Trovatore or Otello Verdi composed many other wonderful choruses, as is shown by our collection Great Opera Choruses - Giuseppe Verdi. 12 of these choruses were selected for this edition by Johannes Knecht. His selection offers works suitable for every ensemble. As a supplement to the "Choir and Piano" edition we are also publishing a choral score (editionchor).

Die Ausgabe enthält den übersichtlich gestalteten Chorsatz samt spielbarem Klavierauszug, sowie neben dem originalen italienischen Text auch singbare deutsche Textübertragungen, die teilweise speziell angefertigt wurden. [...] Der Band ist als repräsentativer Querschnitt durch das Opernschaffen Verdis konzipiert und dabei in chronologischer Weise angelegt, wodurch sich einige kompositorische Entwicklungsstadien in der Behandlung des Chores gut nachvollziehen lassen.[...] Für ambitionierte und klangkräftige Chöre gibt dieser Band sicher zahlreiche Anregungen für eine würdige Reminiszenz im Verdi-Jahr 2013.
