Felicitas Kukuck
| 1914-2001Felicitas Kukuck, geb. Cohnheim, wurde am 2. November 1914 in Hamburg geboren. Ihr Vater, Prof. Dr. med. Otto Cohnheim, und ihre Mutter Eva Cohnheim förderten die künstlerische Entwicklung von Felicitas von Kindheit an. An der Berliner Musikhochschule studierte Felicitas zunächst Klavier und Querflöte. 1937 bestand sie die Privatmusiklehrerprüfung für Klavier, bekam jedoch sogleich Unterrichtsverbot wegen ihrer teiljüdischen Abstammung. Bei Paul Hindemith studierte sie bis zu dessen Emigration nach Amerika Komposition. 1939 schloss sie ihr Musikstudium mit der künstlerischen Reifeprüfung für Klavier ab. Auch im Alter von 86 Jahren komponierte Felicitas Kukuck noch täglich. Ständig war sie auf der Suche nach guten Texten, denn es waren, wie sie selbst einmal sagte, "die Worte", die sie "entzünden".
