For the Protestant church service according to the new Prussian Agenda of 1829 Mendelssohn set to music the Kyrie, Gloria, Sanctus, Honour to the Father and various Amens and Alleluias. The entire printing with all the orders of service in the complete edition of the German liturgy make it easy to integrate these pieces even today into a church service.
