"A star shows the way: Christ is born" is the main exclamation of this strophic setting for four-voice choir with solo voice. The original text (Sousou) stems from Mohammed Kandé, Guinea (a German translation and pronounciation guide are appended).
The work was commissioned in 1996 by the Polish Chamber Choir Schola Cantorum Gedanensis for a concert of Christmas carols from around the world.
