Additional product information
  • Julija Ovseiciuk was born in 1981 in Kaunas, Lithuania. From 1990 to 1997, she studied choral singing at the Vilkaviškis Children's Music School. From 1997 to 2002, she graduated from the Kaunas J. Gruodis Conservatory with a specialty in choral conducting and music pedagogy. From 2002 to 2006, she studied at the Faculty of Arts at Klaipeda University, earning a Bachelor's degree in Music and qualifications as a choral performer and choral conductor. In 2006, she emigrated to the United Kingdom to live and work. In 2020, she returned to Lithuania and resumed her creative activities after a nearly 15-year hiatus. Since 2021, she has been studying at the Faculty of Medicine at Utena College.

Julija Ovseiciuk composes secular and religious choral music in Lithuanian, English, and Latin for mixed and equal voice choirs. She writes arrangements and harmonization for choirs, as well as music for piano.

“My future plans include pursuing a Master's degree to become a music therapist. Studies greatly limit my free time for creativity, but if I will find some, I plan to focus on updating and promoting the repertoire for equal voice choirs, especially women's choirs.”
