Eine Trilogie 1998
It’s summertime zitiert im letzten Satz der Trilogie das berühmte `Summertime’ von George Gershwin. Jazzige Klänge, sputato und auch der Einsatz der Stimme paraphrasieren die Gershwin’sche Melodie. Das Werk kann solo gespielt werden – für die beiden Ecksätze findet sich aber auch eine hinzugefügte Bassstimme, die sich mit Bassblockflöte oder einem anderen Bassinstrument ad libitum realisieren lässt. Der Einsatz von Schlagwerk ist ebenso möglich.
