Musica Sacra Hungarica. Geistliche Chormusik des 20. Jahrhunderts
Read and write feedback
This CD presents a sonorous cross section of the sacred vocal music of Hungary from the 20th century. Indeed, this music has its roots in the romantic era, however it developed into an entirely independent Hungarian vocal style. It became internationally well known through the works of Béla Bartók, Zoltán Kodály and Lajos Bárdos. The Monteverdi Choir Budapest presents a selection of these works.
