« ...lasciar riposare... » gehört in eine Serie von Werken, wo die
Buchstäblichkeit eines Textes im Zentrum steht (im Hintergrund: die
Beschäftigung mit einer gewissen Richtung zeitgenössischer französischer Poesie, die den Begriff der littéralité neu prägte). Ein Satz wie z.B. « dolcificare a piacere » wird hier buchstabiert und die Buchstaben selbst ineinander verspiegelt. Jedem Buchstaben wird eine Spielweise zugeordnet:
d kurze Note, o sul tasto, l tremolo sul tasto, c [tsch] arco battuto, i
Flageolettgriff, f gesprochen, c Fingerkuppenschlag, a sul ponticello, r Tremolo, e normal, p Pizzicato. Das Erklingende kann gut und gerne humorvoll als Buchstabieren eines Textes wahrgenommen werden.
