  • Wolfgang König (born 1947 in Eslohe/Sauerland) first studied school music at the University of Music in Cologne and then majored in trombone, followed by a master's degree in musicology, German studies and sociology. His further musical career was characterised by various stylistic directions: he played both early and contemporary music, played jazz in a big band and, even as a teenager, often took over the masses of his father, who was an organist. All these styles also influenced the nature of his own music and appear again and again in the children's musicals. He has been the director of the Beckum-Warendorf music school since 1979 and has also conducted a mixed choir and the school's large symphony orchestra since then. Personal details
