Dorothee Schabert
Personal details
The composer and author Dorothee Schabert initially pursued studies in
history, philosophy and German, later she studied music at the Hochschule
der Künste Berlin. Schabert worked for many years as a sound engineer
at the SWR (Southwest Broadcasting Corporation). During this time, she
also composed instrumental and vocal pieces in various scorings, including acousmatic works and sound installations. She particularly enjoys cooperating
with artists of other disciplines. Schabert received a scholarship
from the German Academy in Rome (Villa Massimo) in Olevano in 2020.
