Julia Nachtmann

The actress Julia Nachtmann was born in 1981 in Filderstadt near Stuttgart. She made her debut at the Junge Oper Stuttgart before going on to study acting at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg (2001–2005). Since then, she has appeared in numerous productions at the Schauspielhaus Hamburg and the Thalia Theater Hamburg as well as in several TV films. Julia Nachtmann’s work has been recognized with many awards; at the Theatertreffen deutschsprachiger Schauspielstudierender in Hannover 2004 she received a solo prize for her performance of Olivia in Shakespeare’s As you like it and in 2006 was awarded the Boy Gobert Prize. She has been engaged at the Schauspielhaus Hamburg since the 2007/08 season.
