1892-1903 primary school teacher, organist and choirmaster in South Tyrol, from 1903 organist, conductor and music teacher in Deggendorf, in 1910 he was commissioned to establish the Department of Catholic Church Music in Vienna / Klosterneuburg, which he also directed until 1933 and where he taught counterpoint and composition until 1937. 1953 Honorary member of the Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.
