Flauto e voce

In Baroque opera and cantata orchestras the tone color and soft timbre of the recorder has a special meaning. It is particularly used to portray the emotions of love, of pain and of mourning. Many of the surviving arias with obbligato recorder are still unknown today, despite the enthusiastic research work of the early music scene. Through the series Flauto e voce the repertoire is being extended and enriched in interesting ways – both for study and concert performance.
