chorissimo! red offers a diverse selection of around 45 songs and arrangements for classroom singing from grade 5 onward. Canons and warm-ups to get started, well-known pop songs (“Major Tom,” “Ein Kompliment”), standards (“Barbara Ann,” “Über den Wolken”), and new compositions – there’s so much to discover and try out!
The pieces can be immediately performed in unison with piano accompaniment, or expanded with ostinatos, body percussion, as well as upper and lower voices. The flexibility of these songs makes them ideal for music class, offering an easy and accessible introduction to multi-part singing. Designed to be used with interactive smartboards or beamer, the digital package includes the sheet music for the vocal parts. The audio tracks are just a click away – ideal for getting to know new songs, as accompaniment, or for practice sessions.
- Main volume with piano accompaniments and chord symbols, ideas for body percussion, and performance suggestions.
- High-quality audio tracks recorded live with a band, children’s choirs, and youth choirs; available for streaming or download.
- Affordable classroom bundles (editionCHOR) available.
chorissimo! red is part of the successful chorissimo! series for classroom singing created by the Landesakademie für die musizierende Jugend Baden-Württemberg (Youth Music Academy of Baden Wurttemberg). This volume is edited by Klaus K. Weigele and Christine Wetzel.
