40 Arrangements for equal voices
'Tis the season to be jolly - 'Tis the season for caroling! chorissimo! Winter und Weihnachten (Winter and christmas) offers a wide range of canons, quodlibets and carol arrangements for children’s choirs and for performance in the classroom.
These tried and tested compositions and new arrangements are by well-known composers such as John Rutter, Andrea Figallo, Christoph Schönherr, John Høybye and Peter Schindler. The volume encompasses a huge diversity of styles from traditional Christmas carols to a jazzy “Winter Wonderland”. In addition to the arrangements, the workshop “Chor in Szene gesetzt” (in German) offers inspiration and ideas for putting together a concert program.
chorissimo! Winter und Weihnachten is a follow-up volume to the choral collection for school choirs chorissimo! blue. The winter and Christmas arrangements for equal voices (S(S)A) with piano accompaniment and optional melody instruments are suitable for school concerts as well as music-making in the classroom. At the same time, the pieces help to teach singing in parts: Canons and quodlibets lead step by step to multi-part singing (homophony and polyphony). Playbacks, audio recordings and practice tracks for rehearsals are available to download.

| 1965Prof. Dr. Klaus K. Weigele ist seit 2002 Direktor der Landesakademie für die musizierende Jugend in Baden-Württemberg, ehrenamtlich engagiert er sich seit vielen Jahren im Präsidium des Landesmusikrats. Darüber hinaus ist er seit vielen Jahren als Chorleiter und Stimmbildner an der Landesakademie, bei Workshops, Werkwochen und Fortbildungen für Lehrkräfte tätig. Für seine Arbeit wurde er 2014 mit dem Gräfin-Sonja-Gedächtnispreis der Stiftung Singen mit Kindern ausgezeichnet. Mit seinem Kinderchor SingsalaSing hat er schon mehrere CDs aufgenommen. Er ist Autor und Herausgeber zahlreicher Lieder- und Chorbücher – u.a. der Schulchorbuch-Reihe chorissimo! im Carus-Verlag, ebenso von Artikeln und Schriften zum Thema Musik, Musikvermittlung und Musikpädagogik.
