Eberlin wrote some 250 church music works at Salzburg, thus creating a repertoire which later strongly influenced Mozart. His masses are distinguished by harmonic and melodic subtleties, but most of them are effective even in performances with restricted resources. This mass is one such work, a rewarding prospect for every church choir.
