Ever since Carus-Verlag was founded in 1972, publishing the music of Johann Sebastian Bach has been a special focus for us. Peranda, Marco Gioseppe (ca. 1625-1675): Kyrie in C
Marco Gioseppe Peranda, ein unbekannter Name für heutige Zeiten, der aber zu seiner Zeit und in nachfolgenden Komponistengenerationen mit hohem Ansehen belegt war, so dass Christoph Bernhard Peranda zu den nachahmenswerten Komponisten des damals hochaktuellen „stylus luxurians communis” zählte, da sein Kompositionsstil Gemütsregungen vortrefflich ausdrücken konnte. Noch Jahrzehnte nach seinem Tod war der Beliebtheitsgrad seiner Tonkunst durch die andauernde Überlieferung seiner Werke zu spüren, und übte auf die nachfolgenden Komponistenzunft einen deutlichen Einfluss aus, so unter anderem auch auf J. S. Bach.
Das hier vorliegende Einzelordinariumsstück ist deutlicher Hinweis auf den sog. „stylus luxorians communis”. Kennzeichen dieses Genres sind ein sehr dichter fünfstimmiger Vokalsatz mit klangverdoppeltem Einsatz der Instrumente im homofonen Teil. Die figurierten Passagen dieser Ordinariumskomposition zeugen von einer behänden kontrapunktischen Denkweise, eingebettet in einfallsreiche spannungsreiche Wendungen. Im Vorwort erfährt man nähere Details über den Hintergrund des Werkes, das sich aufzuführen lohnt.
