With his wife Waltraud he founded Carus-Verlag Stuttgart in 1972, which he built up from a 2-person family firm to a medium-sized business with around 60 employees. A trained church musician and Kantor for many years at the Matthäuskirche Stuttgart, he also directed the Motettenchor Stuttgart for 50 years. Vincent Lübeck: Willkommen, süßer Bräutigam
Lübecks Kantate für die Weihnachtszeit besteht aus sechs Sätzen, wobei eine kurze Sinfonia für Streicher und Basso continuo das kurze Werk, dessen Aufführung kaum zehn Minuten in Anspruch nimmt, eröffnet. Ein Chor im feierlichem Duktus schließt an, bevor in den beiden folgenden Sopranrezitativen einerseits das Wunder der Menschwerdung Jesu gepriesen und andererseits die Bereitschaft zur Aufnahme ausgedrückt wird. Mit einem Soloquartett und dem Schlusschor (ident dem Anfangschor, nur anderer Text) wird das kurze, klangschöne Werk beschlossen.
