Personal details

Alex Potter’s was a choral scholar in Oxford where he simultaneously studied musicology. Thereafter he furthered his studies in the area of Early music with Gerd Türk and Evelyn Tubb at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. Specialized in the music of the 17th and 18th centuries he worked together with conductors such as Herreweghe, Bernius, Neumann, Cordes and Wilson. Performances of note include a solo concert of Viennese Baroque Music at the Utrecht Early Music Festival and Handel’s Messiah with the Danish Radio Choir and Orchestra under Marcus Creed. Numerous recordings, including several solo CDs, document his artistic activities.
