Musical for children and youth

Funny, exciting, absurd and provocative stories – with a "message," without pointing a moralizing finger at someone. Peter Schindler's musicals are suitable for the big stage, school theatres, as well as large church or community halls.

Kinderhits mit Witz

The "Kinderhits mit Witz" series is conceived for all ages. The songs can be performed with one or two voices, with a combo or just with piano accompaniment. Kinderhits mit Witz are suitable as short numbers in a larger program, or as encores. With a few props the songs can also be interpreted as short scenes. They are ideally suited for solo performance. You will find all of the published edtions in the series HERE.

Choral music for mixed choir

"Missa in Jazz" is a new realization of the Latin Mass in a contemporary tonal language. The first performance of this work in 2001 has been followed by numerous performances in Germany, Italy, France, Portugal, Greece, Sweden, Denmark, Poland, America, Austria and Switzerland. Peter Schindler's "Missa secunda" is a musical companion to this mass, but it is totally different. On the other hand, in his concert length scenic cantata entitled "Sonne, Mond und Sterne," Schindler unites texts from five centuries in a kaleidoscope of life. Here he displays an independent sound language, alluding to styles from the entire history of European music and through the use of poetery achieves some inspiring combinations.

Chansons

For his "Rosenzeit" project, an evening of songs based on love poetry by Friedrich Hölderlin, together with the singer Sandra Hartmann, Peter Schindler was awarded the "Kleinkunstpreis" (cabaret artist's prize) of the State of Baden-Württemberg in 2007. Both the music and CDs are available from Carus.
