Sechs Psalmen für den Berliner Domchor
In der Nachfolge Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdys als Leiter des Berliner Domchores vertonte Otto Nicolai sechs Psalmen für Doppel-Chor a cappella. Die Solopassagen wurden aus dem Chor heraus besetzt. Aus seiner profunden Kenntnis der alten italienische Vokalmusik und seiner Erfahrung als Opernkomponist schuf Nicolai in diesen Psalmen eine ganz eigene Klangwelt.
