Bruckner

Choral music by Anton Bruckner

Anton Bruckner wrote many different kinds of sacred and secular works. As well as numerous motets, he composed three masses, a Requiem, the Missa solemnis in B flat minor and a setting of the Te Deum. The Te Deum is one of the most popular and frequently-performed choral-symphonic works in the entire repertoire. His ceremonial Mass in E minor is especially fascinating for its scoring – the eight-part choir is accompanied solely by wind instruments. Bruckner composed the Requiem in D minor at the age of just 24.
Carus has published all of Bruckner's masses, all of his liturgical music, his late works for choir and orchestra, as well as his exciting secular choral repertoire. Discover the Austrian composer of the late Romantic period with your choir!
