  • Maurice Ravel: L’Aurore

    Ravel composed this piece in 1905 for his fifth and final attempt to win the Prix de Rome. Despite the strict specifications of the competition, he created an individual and harmonically colorful work that highlights the range of sounds the orchestra is capable of producing.
