Dieser Chorsatz „Zum Christfest” bringt in einfacher, aber gediegener musikalischer Ausdrucksweise den Anfang des Gloria-Hymnus. Als Mittelteil erklingt der Choral „Wie soll ich dich empfangen”. Für Chöre, die einfache Literatur suchen (und brauchen) ein guter Weihnachtschor des durch seine Volksliedsätze berühmten Komponisten.
