Die Ostergeschichte
Arnold Melchior Brunckhorst's Ostergeschichte is suitable for both small and large choirs. With festive trumpet sounds and baroque arias that reflect the influence of French and German masters, this work is the ideal choice for a musical celebration of Easter.
Little is known about the North German Baroque composer Arnold Melchior Brunckhorst, except that he served as the town organist in Celle from 1697 until his death in 1725. His few surviving works, however, bear witness to an extraordinary musicality.

Arnold Melchior Brunckhorst
| 1670-1725Arnold Matthias Brunckhorst was a composer associated with the North German organ school. Among other positions, he was organist at the town church in Celle and, later in life, court organist in Hanover, where he presumably remained until his death in 1725.
